"Charity means love towards the neighbor and compassion, for anyone who loves his neighbor as himself also has as much compassion for him in his suffering as he does for himself in his own." – Emanuel Swedenborg
For those who haven't yet heard, Operation Nineveh is a shelter and soup kitchen in the making in the South Rocky Mount area of North Carolina. Headed by Pastor Thomas Ivey of New Life Full Gospel Church, and assisted by an increasing number of enthusiastic supporters, Operation Nineveh is a facility currently undergoing renovations to become Rocky Mount's newest place of refuge for those in need. Our goal is a simple one, and yet daunting as we struggle to find the resources needed to realize our vision for this community. With our First Annual Golf Tournament, hosted by Northgreen Country Club under our belts, we now ready ourselves for our latest fundraising campaign appropriately called "VALUED MEAL." This campaign hopes to recruit at least 2,000 people willing to skip one drive thru "VALUE MEAL" a month in order to donate $5 monthly or $60 annually to Operation Nineveh. With these donations, we hope to complete the necessary renovations and use any residual funds for a beginning operational budget. We feel the "Valued Meal" fundraiser will be an economically friendly, yet effective method to achieve the needed results. If you would like to donate, please make checks payable to:
Operation Nineveh P.O. Box 65 Rocky Mount NC, 27802
For those with more time than money to give, please email us for volunteer opportunities...we need all the help we can get! :)
